Up to the Eighties, the marine industry suffered from a lack of furniture precision and assembly replicability: In fact, from the point of view of tolerance and, therefore, assembly on board, the furniture of each yacht, of a certain model, was different from both the previous and the following one. When Tecnoform introduced the certainty that each component of the furniture would be the same as the others previously produced with a precision of 1/10 of a millimetre it was a major innovation. This was possible thanks to a strong technological investment in CNC production machines. This remarkable innovation enabled shipyards to considerably reduce the time dedicated to the otherwise necessary adjustments during the furniture assembly phase inside the yachts.
