The charm of the Land Yacht.
In 2012 we collaborated with the renowned American company Airstream in the creation of furnishings for caravans with a strong marine theme. Hence the play on words with the name “Land Yacht”, which recalls a hybrid between two worlds: land and sea.
The Airstream Land Yacht features decor with warm and elegant shades, in which the enveloping oak veneer is combined with the simplicity of leather. The fine finishes are highlighted by the contrasting stitching and chrome inserts. Here, our design embraces modern, clean, almost fluid lines, free from sharp edges. It takes shape in three-dimensional overhead cabinets with a contemporary, forward-looking aesthetic, crafted from lightweight materials.
Sustainability and technology.
Among the guidelines that led to the construction of the Land Yacht, careful attention to the environment was crucial: the natural wood is varnished with water and FSC certified eco-leather, and only recyclable materials are used.
All accessories are designed together with the key players in the RV sector: the ultra-flat central lighting with anti-glare effects, the electrically operated dinette table, the control unit for the management of home automation for the functions, and the heat source, all perfectly integrated into the furniture.
The Land Yacht has earned Tecnoform two Caravanning Design Awards 2012/2013 for Best Practice and Best Interior Design.
With this vehicle, the elegance of luxury yachts was brought to life on four wheels.
